Escape Room Enthusiasts

Do you enjoy solving puzzles? If yes, then you should try our escape room challenges. Started in Japan in 2008, escape rooms have attracted a surprisingly huge following. Escape room enthusiasts are always on the lookout for a new challenge. Currently, there are thousands of escape room venues around the globe.

Who is an escape room enthusiast?

An escape room enthusiast is any person that enjoys the thrill of an escape room challenge. These people enjoy solving puzzles and the thrill of escaping from a difficult situation. An example of an escape room enthusiast is Takao Kato, the person who created the first Real Escape Game. In an interview, Kato claimed he wanted to create an interesting adventure, like those that authors create in their books.

Escape room challenges are for groups

The minimum number of players allowed in an escape room is two. The challenges require teamwork. Escape room challenges are mostly played in groups of five. Most enthusiasts are young people aged over 21 years with very few enthusiasts over the age of 60. They attract families, friends and corporate clients using the challenges as team building exercises. Some couples also find escape room challenges as the perfect date night.

Levels of escape room enthusiasts

Enthusiasts are from all walks of life and of different ages. Imagine just how difficult a puzzle challenging a 40-year old would be for a teen. That is why each challenge has different levels. Newbies and kids should try the amateur levels. These challenges are supposed to be fun, not frustrating.

How to become an escape room enthusiast

Does an escape room challenge sound like a thing you are willing to try? There is no skill required. It is simply an adventure that requires strategy and puts your puzzle-solving skills to the test. You just might like it. Here are a few tips for beginners:

Look around

The first thing you should do when you enter the room is to look around for clues. Try to remember everything you see – not everything is a clue, but most of the things are parts of the puzzle. Open, lift, and look behind objects. But, you should not damage items in the rooms, especially those labeled as not part of the puzzle.

Work as a team

When working as a team, the first thing you should do is divide the work so you can finish fast. Any team member who finds a clue should tell the others. Communicate all your ideas because it might not make sense to you but it might spark an idea from another teammate.

Check the time

Always check to see how much time you have left. Remember, you can ask for a number of hints from the game master. So, if you get stuck for too long, there is no harm in asking for help.
