Escape Room Personalities

There are many types of people in this world and we all take different perspectives on how we do things. When you enter an escape room everyone has a different perspective on how to figure things out. Sometimes that’s a good thing and sometimes it backfires. Here are some different personalities you may run into in the escape room.

Confident Connie

She immediately takes charge and has a better way of doing things than anyone else in the room. She doesn’t need any help and especially doesn’t want your input on solving any puzzles. Unfortunately, she is in the room with several other players and will have to suffer through the inefficiencies of everyone else in the room. Be sure that if you don’t get out in time she will not be the one to blame!

Teammate Timmy

Timmy is the team player who organized the escape room for everyone. Timmy will go around during the game and make sure everyone is having fun and is working together to solve puzzles. When his teammates struggle with something he is right there to help and push you through the toughness and keep the game moving. Timmy is ever optimistic and will always be there to cheer you on.

Oliver the Overanalyzer

Oliver loves puzzles but spends way too much time overanalyzing everything. He reads into everything and sucks up valuable time. Oliver needs a buddy in the escape room to remind him that not everything is part of a clue. Timmy would be great for Oliver. When you do find a hard clue, get Oliver involved immediately the sooner the better!

Passive Pam

Pam is along for the ride! She rarely gets excited about anything but is happy to participate in the escape room. Pam needs guidance so be sure to ask her for help. She will be happy to go along with whatever you throw at her. Pam is a great person to have for helping in the room but she really has no sense of urgency when it comes to remembering you only have an hour to finish.

Try to use the personalities in the room to your advantage. Each has their strengths and weaknesses but if you use them wisely you just might escape with time to spare. Don’t stop at one escape room adventure. You will get better with experience but be careful, escape rooms can be addictive
